Your eyes are one of your greatest physical assets. They need to be protected - especially when you’re applying or removing your eye makeup. Here are some eye makeup removal tips to help your eyes stay fresh looking and free from irritation and infection.
Always remove contact lenses, if you wear them, before removing eye makeup.
Apply eye makeup remover to a cotton round, making sure that it’s moistened but not dripping. The round should glide over your eyelids.
Working with only one eye at a time, close your eye and apply the cotton round moistened with eye makeup remover to your lid. Let it sit for 5-10 seconds so it can work its way through the layers of makeup.
Then gently swipe the cotton round on your lid in a downward motion from the top to the bottom outside corner - making sure not to get makeup in your eye.
Moisten a clean cotton round with water and follow the same motion to remove excess makeup remover.
Repeat if necessary with new cotton round if any product remains.
With a clean cotton round, repeat the entire eye makeup removal process on your second eye.
To remove mascara, add a small amount of makeup remover to a cotton applicator or swab. Close eye and gently glide cotton applicator/ swab over the lashes in a downward motion. Follow up with another cotton swab moistened with water.
